Can a sterile women become pregnant?

If she is genuinely sterile then no, for example if she has had her ovaries removed. However often women have been told they are infertile by doctors and they do become pregnant in the future. In this instance they were told they were infertile because tests would have shown the chances of them conceiving were very very low. However these chances are rarely 100% and so sometimes an infertile women is able to produce a fertile egg on the occasion is was fertilised. Also many women in their 40's now discover they can conceive because they were told in their 20's that they were infertile because the tests weren't so advanced then.
