In films why does someone have to yell 'RUN' when a T-Rex or a Tank is bearing down on them?

amazingly a T-Rex is actually pretty slow so never catches the humans except when they cleverly hide in a small wooden outhouse which is guaranteed to be matchsticks after a few seconds LOL
