My daughter has packing gauze in her toe!?

She had a blister and I took her to the ER! They put some sterile packing strips by Curad! I asked the doctor what is was and he said it was benodine! After googling; I found out it was packing strips! Will she need to get it taken out! Does the body naturally absorb them or what? She has had it since; Tuesday! I am worried, because I don't want her toe to heal with it in! I do not have health insurance, but I am not afraid to take her back into the ER!
