How much could i sue a hospital for sterilizing me?

My IUD birthcontrol is half way out of my uterus and i am in a lot of pain from it so i know it is doing something bad. My doctor has known about it for over a month but wont take it out yet. Could i sue the hospital if it makes me go sterile? which is a high chance? for how much?
