Antibiotic question help?

antibiotic (in a vial) when dilution is added (the sterile water for injection) is added to the vial of antibiotic. question: what is the life span of the diluted antibiotic when not administered to the patient immediately? can i use it after a few hours? some said you can use it until 24 hours. i need a guaranteed answer. thanks
